Background
N69.pl is an erotic gadget retailer with an online store and a physical shop in Warsaw, Poland, carrying nearly 57,000 products. Most customers arrive from ads or price-comparison sites, and the majority shop on mobile.
Our goal was to build a new, functional design on Hyvä Theme and Hyvä Checkout for the Polish and Czech storefronts, and to prepare the platform for future overseas markets. Beyond mirroring the existing site's functionality with new Hyvä modules, we set out to significantly improve performance, with a special focus on the mobile experience. Snowdog partnered with the Centuria team, who handled the server infrastructure.

Challenges
The biggest challenge was loading related product colors on the listing page without reloading the full page. We solved it with the EcomDev Magento 2 Product Data Preloader, which streamlines aggregate data access for product collections. In parallel, the frontend team rebuilt custom functionality from the old store as native Hyvä modules, without sacrificing speed. Centuria ran comprehensive performance testing before launch to optimize server configuration and close potential vulnerabilities.

Solutions
We rebuilt the store on Hyvä Theme, a lightweight, customizable framework that keeps storefronts fast and responsive across devices, paired with Hyvä Checkout for a streamlined, lightning-fast checkout that lifts conversion. We integrated Magento Page Builder so the team can manage content without deep technical expertise, and added new delivery and payment methods tailored to the Polish market, including compatibility modules for local providers like Orlen Paczka. Customers can even place an order with just a phone number for automated pickup points.
On performance, Hyvä does the heavy lifting, and we pushed it further: an image proxy serving next-gen formats (WebP, AVIF) to cut load on Magento, plus enhancements to the Amasty Omnibus module to handle the large pricing and promotion datasets common to European retail.

Accessibility
To meet ADA and EAA compliance, we built the store around clear, transparent, standards-based design. We integrated screen-reader-compatible navigation at every stage and added detailed descriptions for buttons, images, and interactive elements, making the store easier and more intuitive for all users, including those with visual impairments.
