Recruitment privacy notice

How we handle the personal data you send us when you apply for a role at Snowdog or send an open application.

Who is responsible for your data

Snowdog Sp. z o.o., Mostowa 11, 61-854 Poznań, Poland, KRS 0000480529, is the controller of the personal data you send us when you apply. For anything about your data, write to dpo@snow.dog.

What we collect

What you give us in the application form and your CV: your name, email address, location, LinkedIn profile, the role you are applying for, your CV and any note you add. Please leave sensitive information, such as health or religion, out of your CV.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To run the recruitment you applied for. This is a step you asked us to take before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For employment contracts, it is also required by Article 22¹ of the Polish Labour Code (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To use any information you add beyond what we ask for, and to keep your application for future roles. This is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To establish or defend legal claims connected with the recruitment. This is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep it

  • For the recruitment you applied for: until that recruitment ends, and then for up to 3 months in case of questions or claims.
  • If you agree to be considered for future roles: for 12 months from your application, or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first.

Who sees it

The people at Snowdog involved in hiring for the role, and colleagues at our parent company, IronPlane, LLC, in Portland, Maine, USA, when they take part in the process. Transfers to the USA are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Our service providers also process your data on our behalf, under contract: Pipedrive, which hosts our CRM and the application form, and our email and file storage providers.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, a copy of it, its correction or deletion, or for us to limit how we use it. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before. You can also complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

Do you have to give us your data

No, but without your contact details and CV we cannot consider your application. We do not make hiring decisions by automated means, and we do not profile applicants.
